New Words - Artsy

Artsy:
Used as an adjective which means overly artistic. When the letter 'y' is added to the compound arts 'y' takes the meaning "of". We see this evolution in many words in the recent past.

# 3 Words and their stories
With the advent of technology, the English language vocabulary is evolving like no other. Words that are currently added or are beig used in the English language were unheard of in the recent past.
Just to look at a two of them, here are:
bazillion: words ending in -illion like zillion and bazillion are ficticious names representing very large numbers.
nip and tuck: used as an adjective to indicate a close contest e.g. neck to neck or as a noun in which skin is removed to make one look young e.g a facelift. Thought I was done learning stuff when I graduated from high school, then I thought university would do it. Yeah the saying is true "Every day you learn something new"
